Dear Colleagues,
Dear Colleagues,
A series of international symposia on Southeast Asian Water Environment (SEAWE symposium) have been successfully organized since 2003. These symposia attracted number of researchers, policy makers, NGO workers and graduate students all over the world, during the symposium participants exchanged impressive and invaluable body of knowledge concerning environmental issues on water in Southeast Asia. With this successful history, this year we would like to take the next step forward by launching a new meeting, while we continue SEAWE symposium every other year.
We are pleased to announce the new meeting on Asian water environment entitled: “The 1st International Forum on Asian Water Environment Technology (IFAWET)”. This international forum will be launched as a daughter meeting of SEAWE symposium series, which commemorated their 10th symposium last year. This international meeting aims to provide a ‘forum’ of scientists and practitioners to discuss issues ranging from cutting edge to practical levels on water environment technologies in Asian context. The first forum will be held in Delhi, capital city of India. We welcome all scientists and practitioners to exchange their knowledge on water environment technology, both in terms of local, region specific and general aspects. Compared to the SEAWE symposium, IFAWET will aim to provide deeper discussion on the issues in the country where the forum is held and in a casual manner.
We do hope that, through the Forum, a strong network or partnership with active local agents will be established to manage the water environment of the region. On behalf of the Symposium organizing committee, I would like to invite interested researchers/experts to send their abstracts to the Forum and actively disseminate this announcement to potentially interested people/organization.
