Dr. VU Duc Canh received his PhD degree from the Department of Urban Engineering at the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2020. Then, he worked as a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) at the Environmental Public Health Engineering Laboratory, University of Tokyo, between 2020 and 2024. Since 2024, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the International Wastewater Epidemiology Laboratory, University of Tokyo. His research interests include a wide variety of topics in the field of health-related water microbiology, such as the development of concentration/detection methods for pathogenic viruses, waterborne pathogens during water/wastewater treatment processes, virus disinfection methods, and wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE).
Dr. ANGGA Made Sandhyana is a JSPS foreign research fellow at the International Wastewater Epidemiology Laboratory, University of Tokyo. He earned his PhD from the Department of Engineering at the University of Yamanashi in 2023, where his dissertation focused on developing rapid and sensitive concentration methods for pathogens in wastewater. His research interests include environmental virology, water and wastewater treatment processes, and wastewater-based epidemiology.
国際下水疫学研究室に卒論配属となりました都市工学科4年の荒木秀祐です。日本にとどまらず世界に目を向けた研究を行いたいと思い、こちらの研究室を選ぶことにいたしました。「下水疫学」という近年登場した学問分野において、社会問題の解決に寄与できるような成果を出すために、情熱を持って真摯に研究に励んでいきたいと考えております。
